Documentation can be found at http://github/MetsExport/ Mbuamaji Site BUILT HERITAGE Mbuamaji is a historic site dating back to 15th century as an important trade Centre in East Africa. It is only existing medieval coastal city state in Dar es salaam that grew almost together with other ancient coastal towns such as Pangani, Bagamoyo, Kaole, Mafia, Kilwa historical sites. Further, the site was occupied since 600 AD to in the 1500 by early Iron working communities and later flourished up to 19th century A.D. Archaeological materials, such as pottery that have been collected there includes Triangular Incised Ware, Plain Ware to Swahili times prove the period of occupation.
